Manchester United have confirmed midfielder Marcel Sabizter’s season is over.
The midfielder, signed on loan from Bayern Munich in January, suffered a knee injury and looks to have played his last game of the season.
The Austrian has impressed in Erik ten Hag’s midfield but has picked up a meniscus injury that will rule him out of any further action this season.
“ Manchester United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer has suffered a meniscal injury which will, unfortunately, rule him out for the remainder of the season,” a statement released by the club reads.

Sabizter was signed following the injury suffered by another United midfielder Christian Eriksen.
Since arriving at the club, Sabizter has played 18 matches and scored three times - including a brace in the Europa League quarterfinal clash with Sevilla.
