Manchester United star forward Marcus Rashford has received sentencing for an offence committed in December.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has been handed a six-month driving ban plus a fine after he was caught going over the speed limit with his Rolls Royce months ago.

Rashford, 26, is on around £300,000 a month playing for Manchester United. Hence, he has a number of fast cars. Maybe too fast, as Rashford crashed a different car only three months before the offence he is getting punished for

What happened

According to Sky Sports, Rashford was caught going 104 MPH on the M60 in Manchester last year with his Rolls Royce, well above the 70mph (112 km/h) speed limit tolerated for the motorway.

Rashford seemingly has a penchant for overspeeding, as he previously crashed another luxury car of his, a Rolls Royce, worth £700,000, near the Manchester United training ground in Carrington.

In that instance, he was involved in a collision with another vehicle; however, there were no casualties, and no ambulance was required.

Rashford’s punishment

The striker has now been handed a six-month driving ban by a court in Manchester for his overzealous automobile navigation.

Along with the ban, he will pay a reported £1,666 in fines, along with £120 in court costs and a £66 surcharge.

Meanwhile, Rashford has been on holiday this summer, as he was uninvolved in Gareth Southgate's England squad that reached the final of the European Championships. The Carrington graduate told fans he is resting and resetting for next season as he hopes to improve on last campaign's underwhelming showing.
