French club Marseille Marseille have reportedly expressed an interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha but could face competition from Arsenal for his services.
Olympique de Marseille are reportedly set to battle with Arsenal for the services of the talented Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, who will become a free agent at the end of the season.
The allure of the French club could be the offer of Champions League football next season after a 3-1 win over Troyes on Sunday lifted them into second place in Ligue 1.
Although Marseille are currently eight points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, they have a slight advantage over Lens and Monaco as they fight to enter Europe's elite competition.
Marseille to battle Arsenal for Zaha
According to GFFN, Marseille will make their move in the coming weeks but are wary of Arsenal's interest in the Crystal Palace Talisman.
The Premier League leaders Arsenal remain in the frame for Zaha, with Reiss Nelson and Folarin Balogun expected to depart.
The Ivorian recently turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad and intends to try and stay at the highest levels in Europe.
Crystal Palace showing they can cope without Zaha
Zaha is currently out of action after picking up a groin injury during Palace's 2-1 win over Leicester City on April 1.
He missed the wins over Leeds United and Southampton and the attacking impetus on show by the Palace team showed they are prepared for life without him.
The 30-year-old has amassed 455 appearances for the Eagles, scoring 89 goals.
