Tusker beat KCB 1-0 in a first of two back-to-back fixtures against the same opposition this week.
Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano is aiming for successive victories over KCB FC within a week with the two sides set to renew their rivalry in the FKF Cup on Saturday.
The Brewers needed a wonder goal from Michael Oduor, who scored against his former side to give them all three points.
Tusker had some decisions called against them by the referee, including a handball by KCB defender Rama Mwenda in his own box, which got Matano incandescent.
“KCB-Tusker is also a tough fixture,” he said. “We did not create many chances but the referee denied us a penalty,” he added.

The Brewers made to the last eight after eliminating little-known Rainbow FC.
“We got one goal though. The most important thing is the three points. You cannot get everything you want but at least we got the win. Now we focus on the other game.
“Every game changes and has different challenges. We will think about how we are going to play against them again. We cannot rule them out. They have a strong side.
We are going to face them and we will still want to win if possible, but it is going to be tough. We cannot afford to lose to them.
Asked to comment about the standard of officiating, Matano opted to keep his cards close to his chest.
