Matano’s men completely obliterated the Bankers 5-0 and he believes that his team has the capability to go all the way and win the title.
Tusker FC head coach Robert Matano believes the sky is the limit for his players following their 5-0 demolition of KCB in an FKFPL encounter played at the Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday evening.
Matano’s men completely obliterated the Bankers, with Erick Kapaito in particular, producing an inspired display, scoring a hat-trick, while Levin Odhiambo and substitute John Njuguna added the other two goals.
The victory now means Tusker are fifth on 28 points, nine behind leaders Gor Mahia with 17 games of the season left to play, and Matano believes that his team has the capability to go all the way and win it.
“The sky is the limit. We will continue working hard. I cannot promise now but we want to win many matches,” Matano told Pulse Sports.
“As long as we win matches, there is nothing difficult. Always maintain composure, maintain consistency, working hard and smart and we should not be excited about today. That now is history and behind our backs.”
Tusker started the game with intensity and intended to shoot at every available opportunity, and it was no surprise they ended up scoring all those goals.

Matano has revealed the reasoning behind their approach, which turned out to be fruitful.
“From the word go, I think we came with a clear mind, play and win,” said Matano.
“I think everyone was calm, willing, ready to fight and we were composed. The urgency was there. We played with a lot of purpose as we trained and I think things are coming up well.”
