Tusker were second best in every department and even had a man sent off, but they got the win against the run of play.
Tusker head coach Robert Matano insists the most important thing was to get a win over Bandari despite a far from convincing display that saw them practically rob all the three points despite being second best in their FKFPL meeting on Saturday.
Matano insists that his new signings are yet to gel properly with the existing players, which explains their far-from-convincing performance.

FKFPL Twahir Muhiddin lashes out at wasteful Bandari following defeat to Tusker
Muhidin slammed his side's failure to be “alert” as Tusker’s Ugandan striker Deogracious Ojok scored a goal almost from "half a chance".
Bandari FC will only have themselves to blame after failing to nail Tusker on the cross with a myriad of chances and playing with a one man advantage for slightly over half an hour.
“We have not gelled, so it makes it quite difficult but we expect it to be difficult,” Matano said after the match.
“The most important thing is that we got a win.”

FKFPL: Eric Kapaito reveals how Ethiopian experience will help him lead Tusker to glory
Kapaito played for Ethiopian Premier League side Arba Minch after leaving Kariobangi Sharks last season.
The home side should have scored at least three within the opening quarter of an hour by the myriad of chances they got.
They even had a goal disallowed due to offside when they leveled a minute to the break when Abdallah slapped the ball into the net after Kinyanjui’s low shot from the edge of the area had come off the upright but he was flagged down for offside.
The Brewers were reduced to 10 men in the 58th minute when young midfielder David Odoyo was sent off by referee Peter Kamaku for a reckless challenge, seemingly taking revenge after James Kibande had just been hacked down and the referee not giving a foul.
Nonetheless, they held their nerve to grab all the three points, and will be seeking to maintain their winning start to the season when they face Kariobangi Sharks at the Ruaraka Grounds next Saturday.
