Arua Hill SC head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi is set to take over reigns at BUL FC next season, permanently succeeding Alex Isabirye, Pulse Sports understands.
BUL lost Isabirye to Vipers SC in February, with his then-deputy Simeon Masaba replacing him on interim basis.
Reliable sources close to Mbabazi indicate he had discussions with BUL on Wednesday, a day after Arua Hill lost 1-0 to Maroons FC in the Uganda Premier League.
It's reported he stayed in Kampala after the game, travelled to Jinja and held long and positive discussions with BUL.
The latter's Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Mutaka, has, however, denied the reports; "No, that's not true," he told Pulse Sports before declining to speak any further.
Mbabazi allegedly has a strained relationship with his current bosses, and it's reported he had a bust-up with CEO Pius Bamwange, rumours the latter has also denied.
"Our relationship is good and professional. The rumours have no base, and the coach is in Arua doing his job," Bamwange said to this website.
In an indifferent campaign, Arua Hill is currently placed ninth with 23 points in 16 matches have lost their past two games; 3-2 to KCCA FC and 2-0 to the Maroons.
Meanwhile, BUL, who are third with 29 points in 18 games, have also lost their past league matches to SC Villa (1-0) and URA FC by the same scoreline.
