STARS ABROAD Mugisha eagerly awaits Mashemeji Derby debut as Mckinstry aims to uphold Gor's undefeated league streak
Having transferred to K’Ogalo in August from UDPFFC, Mugisha has been performing commendably. But with the derby looming, he is prepped to make his inaugural appearance memorable.
“Mugisha is still young, and with youth, there are typically two types of characters: those who shy away and remain introverted, and those who confidently embrace challenges head-on. Mugisha certainly belongs to the latter category,” McKinstry said.
"He's quickly become a favourite among both his teammates and the fans. I was thrilled when he netted his first goal, and I believe it's just the beginning of many,” added the former Uganda Cranes coach.
Rogers Mugisha has been an integral part of the Green Army since joining in August 2023. He has started games against KCB, Nairobi City Stars, and Ulinzi and made substitute appearances against Kakamega FC and Sofapaka FC.
The former UPDF FC striker marked his KPL account for K’Ogalo with a goal during the recent 1-1 draw against KCB FC, also earning his first "Man of the Match" award.
Gor Mahia aspires to maintain their unbeaten streak when they go head-to-head with their fierce rivals, AFC Leopards, in the Mashemeji Derby at Kasarani Stadium this Saturday.
