Barcelona legend Lionel Messi took to social media to celebrate Barcelona's victory in the El Clasico.
Lionel Messi is the latest Barcelona legend to react to the club’s 4-0 drubbing of eternal rivals Real Madrid, as he replied to the club’s social media post.
The 37-year-old is the most dominant player in El Clasico history, scoring the most goals in the fixture (26), and his 19 wins in 40 games are only behind Real Madrid’s Paco Gento, who won 21 in 45 matches.

'They are criminals!' — Vinicius slams racist Real Madrid fans after abuse against Yamal, Barcelona stars
Vinicius maintains an unwavering stance against racism after a section of Real Madrid fans employed racially charged insults against Barcelona stars.
Barcelona have not had much luck in the match-up since Messi’s exit, losing five consecutive games against Real Madrid before breaking the jinx with the dominant victory at the Bernabeu.
Messi’s reaction
Following the result, Barcelona legends like Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol and even ex-player Gerard Deleufeu took to social media to express their elation over defeating their sworn rivals.
Messi’s reaction is the latest in the long line, and although it has not come as a surprise, it was not expected. Given he is still an active football player with contracts with PSG and now Inter Miami, he has not been the most reactive to Barcelona affairs.
He was conspicuously missing from Barcelona’s send-off ceremony for his former teammate Sergi Roberto, which had a host of the club’s legends present, including Xavi Hernandez, who was embarrassed out of the club.
However, like the millions of Blaugrana fans around the world, Messi was seemingly enamoured by the comprehensive victory over a bitter rival, and he took to social media to share his elation. "What a beautiful victory,” the Argentine posted in the comment section of the club’s post on the win.
