Former Man City defender Micah Richards has spoken up about the Roy Keane incident that happened after the match between Arsenal and Manchester United.

Following Sunday's alleged headbutt on Roy Keane, the former Manchester City defender was spotted grabbing a supporter by the collar.

The two had been seen together for Sky Sports' Super Sunday when an altercation allegedly broke out.

During the filming of today's episode of The Rest Is Football with Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer, Richards discussed the event.

Micah Richard explains Roy Keane’s incident

The 35-year-old was asked about the altercation between Roy Keane and a fan who headbutted the Man United legend.

In a brief introductory monologue as reported by the Sun, Lineker alluded to the incident by saying, "One of us had a fascinating weekend, Micah, you're in the news."

However, Micah Richard replied, "Gary, I'm not allowed to talk about it. But when I'm allowed to talk about it. The Rest is Football will get it first."

Shearer responded by making fun of his co-host by saying, "I think the common opinion is 'don't f*** with big Mics'."

Linker continued, "In case those of you are unaware, there was an incident at Arsenal yesterday where allegedly Roy Keane was headbutted by someone and a certain Micah Richards stepped in.

"We'll get the full story at some point. It is something we shouldn't trivialise, either, really, because obviously, that is a serious thing if fans start attacking people.

"We will wait until the police investigation is done until before we cover that story even more."

According to reports, Keane and Richards were waiting by an elevator in a members-only bar in the Emirates Stadium's West Stand.

As the game neared its conclusion, they were on their way down from the Sky studio when the event happened.

However, the video showed Richards putting a man against a wall yesterday night after the supporter allegedly assaulted Keane.
