Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has urged fans to rally behind his team MOFA FC who face Fortune Sacco in the Division One playoff where the winner will earn NSL promotion.

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga has issued a rallying call to fans as his MOFA FC take on Fortune Sacco with a place in the second tier National Super League (NSL) at stake on Saturday.

The Michael Olunga Football Academy (MOFA FC) senior team were in high spirits as they held their afternoon training on Friday 17 April ahead of the much-anticipated NSL promotion playoff at the Dandora Stadium.

MOFA, who finished second in the Football Kenya Federation Division One, have their eyes trained on the high-octane match that will be a culmination of a successful season after recording emphatic victories along the way to bring the season to a close second following a neck-and-neck race with winners APs Bomet.

In his message of inspiration, MOFA founder Olunga rallied football supporters in the city to turn up in their numbers to support the team.

"12 years ago at Dandora Stadium, I scored the crucial goal that won Liberty Academy the Nairobi County League. This Saturday, my academy MOFA will be playing the FKF National Division One playoffs at the same venue. Come support our boys to earn the promotion they truly deserve," Olunga wrote on the team's social media pages.

MOFA have enjoyed a good following in most parts of the country that they have toured for their league games this season and the new stadium in Dandora promises to come to life when the Oyugis-based team descends on the pitch for the big clash.

"Dandora Stadium is just like our home. It is located adjacent to phase four which has a lot of our support base and we are promising to deliver a match to remember," said MOFA coach Kassim Junior.

If they earn promotion, MOFA will play in the National Super League for the first time in their history, having risen through the ranks from lower division leagues.
