Michael Olunga warms hearts of Kenyan celebrities with special gifts

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga warmed the hearts of some Kenyan celebrities when he gifted them signed jerseys while accompanying them with special messages.

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga made the weekend for a group of Kenyan celebrities whom he gifted signed jerseys from his club Al Duhail.

The football star took the opportunity to recognise and reward these personalities for their hard work, presenting them with Al Duhail shirts, accompanied by customised notes.

Among the recipients were media personalities Maina Kageni and Carol Radull as well as popular rapper King Kaka. Olunga's personalised messages added a special touch to each jersey, reflecting his appreciation for their contributions and support.

To Kageni, Olunga expressed his gratitude by noting how he tunes into his radio show even while in Doha, which inspires him before training. "Maina, even in Doha, we get you live and clear on air. Thanks for the support always. Never goes unnoticed." 

Kageni responded enthusiastically on his X account, "Thank you @OgadaOlunga… package well received. My Sunday is made. You are my hero!!!!!!!!"

For King Kaka, Olunga penned a message acknowledging his journey in the rap industry: "Shule ya rap uligraduate from a sunguch to a Goat. Bro, shukran for the support siku zote." [After attending rap school you graduated from being a rabbit to the GOAT. Thanks for all the support.]. 

King Kaka was moved by the gesture, replying on X, "Since the Gor days. God is showing us through you that it's possible. Keep inspiring us and thanks for the kit."

Radull also received high praise from Olunga for her dedication to sports journalism.

 "Your dedication to sports is unmatched. Thank you for the support. I appreciate it. Keep championing for women in sports in the country," Olunga wrote in his message to Radull who in turn, expressed her gratitude, describing Olunga as a “superstar”.

Olunga had a remarkable season with Al Duhail, scoring 28 goals in all competitions. He is currently in Malawi with the Harambee Stars, preparing for their crucial World Cup qualifying games against Burundi and Ivory Coast on June 7 and 11, respectively.
