Micho extends unbeaten run as Libya coach with victory over Burkina Faso

His latest win had Libya edge West African giants Burkina Faso 2-1 in an international friendly bout played at the Stade Pere-Jego in Casablanca, Morocco on Friday.

Five months since his appointment as the Libya National Team head coach, former Uganda Cranes gaffer Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic has yet to taste defeat.

Its now ten games on the touchline for the Serbian and he has picked an impressive seven victories with three stalemates.

The excellent run includes four victories on the bounce with Libya for the 54-year-old tactician.

His latest win had Libya edge West African giants Burkina Faso 2-1 in an international friendly bout played at the Stade Pere-Jego in Casablanca, Morocco on Friday.

Faisal Al Badri and Omar Al Khouja netted for Libya, while Ousseni Bouda was on target for Burkina Faso, who finished in the Round of 16 at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Meanwhile, Micho's last three victories came against Kuwait (3-1), Indonesia (2-1) and another against the same side (4-0), all of which, were friendlies.

It should be noted that Libya sit joint-second in Group D of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers with four points in two games.

They have the same tally as Cape Verde and leaders Cameroon, a side with whom they drew 1-1 in November last year.
