Micho's firing comes just days after the team failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations despite defeating Niger 2-0 in the last match of the qualifiers played in Morocco.
Defender Mustafa Kizza is the latest Uganda Cranes player to sympathise with Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic following his sacking Thursday night.
The left-back took to his social media channels to appreciate the Serbian Wolf and wish him the best after the news of him losing the Cranes' top job.
"It's a pleasure to have worked with you," Kizza posted after getting the news.
"I wish you all the best in (yo)ur next chapter, thank you for everything. Good luck, coach #Obrigado."
Kizza's message came after that Allan Okello, his former teammate at KCCA FC.

On several occasions, Okello was selected by Micho in the Cranes team but missed the team's last engagement with Niger in Morocco due to a nagging knee injury.
It is the second straight AFCON Uganda will miss, having last qualified for the 2019 edition in Egypt.
Having helped the Cranes qualify for AFCON for the first time in 39 years in 2016, Micho moved on to coach at Orlando Pirates in South Africa, Zamalek in Egypt and later the Zambia National Team.
He would later return to take the Cranes job in 2021 and still had months left on his three-year contract, which was meant to run up to July 31, 2024.

Now, all the attention will turn to the Serbian Wolf and his time at the helm of the Cranes instead of the three big matches lined up for the opening day of the season.
But with results eluding him and the team and the pressure from Ugandan fans, a future away from the Cranes looked inevitable, and the federation made a decision that was pretty much expected.
Both Kizza and Micho are now free agents, with the former KCCA FC defender yet to find a new club since ending his short-term stint with the Kasasiro Boys.
