Following worries expressed by Libyan media demanding punitive actions against Nigerian employees in Libya, the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reassured citizens of their safety there.
A few weeks ago, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board recently ruled against the Libya Football Federation (LFF).
The sanction by the CAF led to several media houses urging authorities to deport Nigerian workers away from Libya.
This response follows a recent decision by the CAF Disciplinary Board that penalised the LFF for security lapses during Nigeria's visit for an AFCON 2025 qualifying match.
