Juventus secured a third consecutive victory in Serie A after defeating Spezia 2-0 at the Stadio Alberto Picco
Juventus earned a vital 2-0 win away to Spezia thanks to goals from Moise Kean and Angel Di Maria.
How it happened
Juventus looked sharp in the early exchanges, with Dusan Vlahovic seeing a well-taken strike disallowed for offside. It was marginal but the correct call.
After an opening half-hour largely dominated by the visitors, Juventus deservedly took the lead in the 32nd minute, when a sweet delivery from Filip Kostic was expertly finished by Moise Kean for his fifth league goal of the season.
Just before halftime, Spezia found some openings of their own. Eldor Shomurodov twice came close with headers inside the six-yard box, before Daniele Verde fizzed a dangerous ball across the face of goal.
Spezia began the second half in strong fashion but Emmanuel Gyasi wasted a good opportunity to level for the hosts.
Angel Di Maria came off the bench to seal the victory with a stunning strike.
He fired a long-range bullet of a shot into the bottom-right corner to the sheer delight of the away support.
The result sees Juventus climb up to 7th in the table, while Spezia remain two points above the relegation zone.
Player of the match - Filip Kostic
Kostic produced a performance full of energy and creativity. He was a constant threat down the left side and offered his teammates an option as often as he could.
He also did well to set Moise kean up for the opener with an excellent cross.
