While the 21-year-old had yet to win a “Player of the Matchweek” award since last season, Kasule earned two “Player of the Month” awards in July and August of last year.
The Ugandan national recorded two goals and two assists in that span to earn the top honor in the league for the month.
Starting with the season opening match against Columbus, Kasule put on a masterful passing display in the midfield by orchestrating both goals that New York scored in the 2-0 victory.
One of those assists was a perfect outside of the foot pass to find a streaking Roald Mitchell for the breakaway finish.
