In a monumental move that solidifies its place in the global football arena, Morocco has declared its intention to build the world's third-largest stadium.

The colossal Casablanca Stadium, with a staggering capacity of 113,000, will be a key venue for the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The construction of this architectural marvel is set to commence in 2025 and is projected to conclude by 2028.

With an investment of €500 million, the project signifies Morocco's dedication to hosting a World Cup that is both memorable and grand.

In a historic collaboration, Morocco will co-host the 2030 World Cup alongside Portugal and Spain.

Interestingly, the competition will kick off with the first three games being played in Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina, as a tribute to the tournament's centennial celebration.

Morocco's involvement is particularly significant, making it only the second African nation to host the prestigious tournament since South Africa in 2010.

The decision to construct the Casablanca Stadium follows Morocco's earlier bid to host the expanded 48-team 2026 World Cup.

Although they lost to the combined bid of the USA, Mexico, and Canada, their persistence and vision have paid off with the 2030 hosting rights.

With preparations underway and the world watching, Morocco is poised to deliver a World Cup that promises to blend tradition with innovation, creating an unforgettable experience for football fans worldwide.
