Muhoroni Youth FC's Stephen Bulugu hailed as man of the match in a 1-1 draw against Kenya Police FC boosting survival hopes.

Muhoroni Youth FC chairman Moses Adagala has lauded Stephen Bulugu for his outstanding performance in their Sunday's FKF Premier League clash against Kenya Police FC which ended in a gripping 1-1 draw.

The match, held in Nairobi, saw Muhoroni Youth, currently positioned 16th on the league table, battle fiercely against a strong Police FC team featuring five Harambee Stars players.

The game was a rollercoaster from start to finish, beginning with Muhoroni taking the lead in the ninth minute thanks to an own goal after Police FC failed to clear a corner kick effectively.

However, Kenya Police FC fought back, with Cliton Kinanga heading in the equalizer in the second half, setting the stage for an intense finish.

Despite numerous chances for Police FC to clinch the victory, including a close call by Alvin Mang’eni whose shot hit the crossbar in the closing stages, Muhoroni's defense, spearheaded by Bulugu, stood firm.

Bulugu's pivotal role in both defense and attack, intercepting several key opportunities, was instrumental in securing the draw for Muhoroni.

Adagala expressed his pride and gratitude for the team's performance and Bulugu's recognition as the man of the match.

"I give thanks to the Lord Almighty for our today's league in Nairobi and our player being a man of the match, even though Police FC has five Harambee Stars players. Thank you, Lord," he remarked on his official Facebook page.

This draw adds a vital point to Muhoroni's tally bringing them to 22 points from 24 matches as they continue their fight for survival in the FKF Premier League.
