AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has made shocking statements regarding his future with the Serie A giants in the light of a potential return to West London.
The hot seat at Stamford Bridge is currently vacant following the sacking of former Brighton boss Graham Potter and The Special One, among other high-profile managers, have been linked to the job.
Speaking to Football Italia, Mourinho left the discussion open, noting that he could be available for other opportunities despite having a year left on his contract with AS Roma.
He stressed that 'contracts are not the most important thing', perhaps a signal of his willingness to move back to London.
"I have another year left, but contracts sometimes are not the most important thing," Mourinho told Football Italia.
If Mourinho moves to Chelsea, it would be his third stint at the club where he etched his name as a legend winning the Champions League, two league Cups and two Premier League titles.
Other top managers linked to the Chelsea job include former Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann and former Barcelona coach Luiz Enrique.
Also, former PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be in the race.
