The Turkish side proved too good for their Ligue 1 counterparts Strasbourg in what turned out to be a one-sided affair, running out 4-0 winners.

After fantastic strikes from Sebastian Szymanski and Dusan Tadic gave Fenerbahce a comfortable 2-0 lead after 33 minutes, Osayi-Samuel was on hand to help assist Ryan Kent to make it 3-0 four minutes later.

The goal was no less than the Super Lig side deserved, and for Osayi-Samuel, the assist capped another solid outing as he continues to impress his new boss, Mourinho.

The 26-year-old, who played for 61 minutes, made two tackles, created one chance, completed the only cross attempted, completed two of three long balls, had 91% pass accuracy, won six ground duels, and completed his only dribble attempt.

The latest display for the Super Eagles defender follows just days after another brilliant outing against Croatian side Hajduk Split, where he put in a standout performance, completing the most dribbles, winning the most duels, and maintaining a pass accuracy of 91%.

Osayi-Samuel has now firmly cemented his place in Mourinho's Fenerbahce side, with the Nigerian demanding a massive salary increment in his new contract extension.

The player's current deal expires at the end of the 2024–2025 campaign, and the Istanbul giants are desperate to tie down one of their most important players.
