Mourinho has emerged as a likely replacement over the past 24 hours after a report from The Sun claimed the two-time Champions League winner was taking German lessons.
The report stemmed from the German publication Bild, stating that Mourinho was indeed keen on the job and has even flirted with the possibility in the past.
The German champions come up against Lazio in the UCL round of 16, and should they face difficulties in that tie, the Bayern leadership could seriously reconsider their stance on Tuchel.
It remains to be seen whether Mourinho would be seen as an ideal replacement, but FC Hollywood are not averse to ball calls.
