Algerian midfielder Houssem Aouar has signed for AS Roma on a free transfer after leaving Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Aouar joins Roma on a five-year-deal as Mourinho reshapes his squad for next season after the disappointment of losing to Sevilla in the Europa League final.
Aouar joins AS Roma
"I think it's the right project for me, with a big team, quality players, and a unique fanbase. I'm now a Giallorossi player, and I'm ready to go," Aouar said in a statement.
The 24-year-old was linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham in the past but a transfer to the Premier League never materialised.
Aouar will now join Jose Mourinho's Roma as he takes on a new challenge in Serie A.
