Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi will travel for the team’s crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nation qualifier against Niger in great moods after winning the man-of-the-match in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Mugabi stood tall at the back to ensure his team, Motherwell FC claimed all the points in a 1-0 over Hearts away at Tynecastle.
Mugabi almost wrote his name on the score sheet in the 20th minute of the game but his powerful header off a set piece was tipped over the bar.
Englishman Callum Slattery scored Motherwell’s lone goal in the last action of the first half.
