Murang’a Seal have sought the assistance of law enforcers to help crack down on poor behaviour among a section of their home supporters.
The club has written to the Officer Commanding Police Station (OCS) in Murang’a, seeking his help in apprehending individuals who have openly been smoking bhang at the St Sebastian Park, popularly known as SportPesa Arena, during their home matches.

“It has come to our attention that some people disguised as Murang’a SEAL FC fans, have been attending our home matches at the SportPesa Arena in Mbiri ward and are openly and publicly consuming narcotics especially bhang (Cannabis), raising concerns about the safety and security of our fans, some of whom are young children,” the letter read in part.
“This is therefore to request your good office to provide police officers to crack down on those rogue individuals who want to taint the image of the club and turn our home venue into a drug abuse scene.

The request came a day before Murang’a host AFC Leopards in an FKF Premier League match as they seek a return to winning ways after five games without victory.
It will be the eighth home match for Gabriel ‘Kingi’ Njoroge’s men who have only lost twice at their backyard since their Premier League promotion.
Pressure has mounted on Njoroge and his charges following their recent slump that has seen them lose three while drawing two of their last five matches to drop to eighth on the table when they were third at the start of November.
