The emotionally charged video concludes with Kizza's poignant words, "Amidst the wanderlust that filled my lust, there was always one truth.”
Transfer deadline day has produced another bombshell with KCCA FC confirming the return of defender Mustafa Kizza, for what will be his third stint at the club.
The Kasasiro Boys officially confirmed Kizza's comeback in a heartwarming video that traces the player's football journey in recent times.
The emotionally charged video concludes with Kizza's poignant words, "Amidst the wanderlust that filled my lust, there was always one truth.”
“No matter how far we roam, there is no place like home." He added, "For home after all is where my heart belongs."
In response to the touching video, KCCA FC captioned it with a simple yet profound statement: "𝑻𝙝𝒆 𝒕𝙝𝒊𝙧𝒅 𝒕𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝒕𝙝𝙚 𝒄𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙢… Welcome back home Kizza Mustafa."
The left back’s return was confirmed mere hours after rivals Vipers SC sealed a deadline day deal with another beloved KCCA FC star, Allan Okello.
The former KCCA sensation met with Vipers Director Lawrence Mulindwa on Thursday, to finalize the move, resulting in a three-year contract.
Although there were reports of Kizza's potential move to Vipers, it is now confirmed that the left-back will sign a two-year employment contract with KCCA, ensuring his presence at the club at least until 2025.
He has been training with Wakiso Giants who are believed to have explored the possibility of signing him on a short six months contract.
Kizza's departure from KCCA FC in June marked the end of his brief six-month contract with the club.
Unlike his initial stint, where he achieved remarkable success, Kizza struggled to make his return count due to injuries and fitness issues.
Before rejoining KCCA FC, Kizza had a brief spell with Portuguese side Arouca FC, leaving them in December last year.
He also had a stint with MLS club Montreal Impact, which he joined in 2020 after his time with KCCA FC.
Kizza's illustrious journey at KCCA, which started as an academy graduate, includes leading the team to the CAF Champions League group stages under then-head coach Mike Mutebi.
Kizza joined KCCA's Academy in 2015, after which he played for the development side until 2016.
He was sent on loan to Maroons FC for the 2016-17 season before returning to KCCA FC in January 2017, where he played for the senior team for three and a half years.
