Destiny Onoguekhan Elimoghale, a young and promising football player who is eligible to play for Nigeria, has expressed his desire to represent Italy's national team.

The Juventus Football Academy prospect was born to Nigerian parents in Italy on April 23, 2009, and is known for his speed on the wing.

The 15-year-old attacker has been commonly referred to as AC Milan and Portugal star Rafael Leao, even though Neymar is his idol.

The Italian U-17 left-winger is currently representing the Italian youth team in the ongoing UEFA U-17 Euro qualification. He came off the bench to score the winning goal in their 2-1 victory against Croatia.

Destiny commits to Italy

Destiny's dream of playing for the Italian National team eliminates any chance of him joining the Super Eagles.

According to Calcio Mercato, he said, “For me, the national team is everything. It is something extraordinary because not everyone can wear the blue shirt.

My future will, therefore, still be in blue hues, and I can not wait to fight to become a U-17 European Champion.

The young player expressed his love for the weight and slight pressure that comes with wearing the number eleven jersey, currently worn by Kenan Yildiz in the Juventus first team.

“I have always looked at the great talents spent in senior team and in particular, it is Kenan Yildiz I try to imitate the most.

“On his shoulders, he always wears the number 11 shirt also because like the 10, it’s a nice heavy number, especially at Juventus.

“It was worn in black and white by Paul Pogba, and I consider him the player to be taken for example, among the historical ones of the Juve first team,” he concluded
