Nicolas Pepe speaks on how his time in England has made him evolve.
Nicolas Pepe, an Arsenal player on loan at Ligue 1 side Nice, was reminiscing in a recent interview, where he spoke about his time in England and how it affected him.
The 27-year-old moved to Arsenal in the summer of 2019 for a club-record fee. The Ivorian did not show the consistent brilliance that earned him the move in the first place, so he was shipped out on loan to Nice. In speaking about that time of his career, Pepe believes it helped him evolve.

The winger is starting to regain the level that attracted him to Arsenal at Nice, and in speaking about the person and player he is at the moment, Pepe believes he owes his evolution to the period of years he spent at the Emirates.

“My time in England allowed me to evolve,” Pepe told RMC, per GFFN.
“I got older, I had children, so I matured a lot. I have had some very good experiences as well as some less good ones. It forged my mind, and it serves me today.”
