Naija Stars Abroad episode 2 features a Super Eagles-eligible star who has dethroned Josh Maja and main man, Victor Osimhen.

Hat-trick from Naija Stars Abroad last week Josh Maja has been dethroned as the star of the week after an impressive performance from a Super Eagles-eligible forward who stole the show in a weekend that saw Victor Osimhen go missing again.

Toluwase Arokodare has become the Nigerian man to be this season after another match-winning display for his club in Belgium.

The 23-year-old cannot stop scoring after netting a brace for Genk in a seven-goal thriller away to Beerschot. Arokodare restored Genk’s lead with the game tied at 1-1 before sealing the deal with a made-in-Nigeria goal as he combined with compatriot, Collins Tor.

With his goals against Beerschot, Tolu has now scored in each of his last four matches for Genk, taking his tally to four goals in four matches so far this season - man on fire!

Also, for his fellow Nigerian, Sor, it has been an equally solid start to the season with the 24-year-old showing more of his creative side. The wing forward has now provided two assists in his last three matches despite starting just one match this season.

Elsewhere, Cyriel Dessers is another man who is in the form of his life and surely Rangers will do well to hold him tightly.

Like Arokodare, it has been a fantastic start to the season for the 29-year-old after inspiring Scottish giants Rangers to another win.

After the disappointment against Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League, Desserts proved to be the inspiration as the Gers bounced back with a similar result against St Johnstone, with their Nigerian star scoring one and assisting the other.

The Nigeria international has now scored three goals and assisted one in five matches this term for Rangers, keeping pace with his younger compatriot in Belgium.

In the Spanish LaLiga, it was all about little-known Chrisantus Uche, who made an immediate impact and impression on his debut for Getafe.

Man of the moment, Chrisantus Uche against Athletic Club.

From the trenches to Europe's top five leagues, playing in an unfamiliar position, Uche proved to be the inspiration for Getafe who opened their season with a credible share of the spoils at San Mames against Athletic Club.

Uche, 21, delivered the good with a thunderous header to open his goal account on such a special occasion for him, having arrived from the Third Tier.

 Super Eagles Big Boys

From Italy to England, it was not good news for some of the Super Eagles' regular faces, starting with African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen.

With his future still up in flames, the 25-year-old will be counting his stars after missing what was another embarrassing outing for new manager Antonio Conte.

While it looked like the former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach had done his homework as he looked to move on without club icon, Osimhen, it ended in a big defeat as Napoli kicked off their Serie A season with a comprehensive 3-0 loss at Hella Verona.

The visitors surely took the ‘hell’ in their name seriously. However, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru impressed on his Lazio debut, looking at home in their come-from-behind 3-1 against newly promoted Venezia.

It was the Maduka Okoye show at Stadio Renato as Udinese continued from where they stopped last season with another draw against Bologna. Nigeria's Okoye played a big role, with five saves to help his club to a share of the spoils.

It was defeats for Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo in England following 1-0 scorelines against Manchester United and Newcastle United respectively, while Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho were not involved as Sevilla played out a 2-2 draw at Las Palmas.
