Spalletti demands more from Osimhen
Despite another impressive outing for Napoli in the Serie A, his manager believes Osimhen can do more.
Speaking after the game against Atalanta, Spalletti noted that he wants the Nigerian to be more creative and play more with his teammates.
"Osimhen is a player who has these sudden surges and sprouts," Spalletti stated per Football Italia.
"But he needs to every now and then also figure out how to pass and work with his teammates."
Osimhen, who created two chances and one big chance, has now assisted two goals this season for Napoli.
Despite showing signings of creativity against Atalanta, Spalletti wasn't as satisfied with his Nigerian forward who was subbed off after 77 minutes because of tiredness.
"He was a little tired today," he added. "But he still created chances, caused issues and when Atalanta pushed their wingbacks higher with the striker wide, he was alone in midfield and in those situations, he can do more than he did tonight."
