Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is set to return to Napoli for pre-season despite his future undecided.
Napoli and Osimhen looking to resolve transfer
FIFA agent Claudio Anellucci disclosed that measures are in place to guarantee that Osimhen's predicament is resolved prior to the squad's departure on July 11.
Anellucci stated that Osimhen's presence, given his unclear future, could be a distraction for the club.

Conte wants to begin the preseason with players totally focused on the goals of the forthcoming season.
Anellucci said on 1 Station Radio, via Napoli Magazine, "On the 11th, Napoli goes into camp and, consequently, the coach will want to have a minimum of linearity, a base from which to start again. Having Osimhen there for only a few days would not be profitable for anyone.
"The Nigerian's call to the pre-season camp is mandatory, but it is also ritual. Both the club and the player's entourage are working to avoid the inconveniences related to the presence of the attacker at the camp.”
Osimhen's agent is currently in Paris to accelerate his transfer. The agent's presence implies a willingness to quickly resolve the matter, even though it's unknown if Osimhen is present.

Anellucci continued, "I knew something. I don't know if he was physically in Paris, but I knew about the movements of his entourage.
"Knowing how PSG moves, if the player was called to the city, it means they want to close the situation quickly."
Napoli are currently preparing for a new season under new manager Antonio Conte, after a poor 2023–2024 season that saw them miss out on European competition.
