Irankunda, eligible to play for Burundi, Tanzania, and Australia, has already featured for the latter at the U17 level, playing two matches to score thrice.

European heavyweights Bayern Munich are closing in on signing budding talent and winger Nestory Irankunda from Australian side Adelaide United.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Bayern are online moments away from signing the deal with the youngster.

Romano asserts that a transfer fee between Bayern and Adelaide has been verbally agreed, pending signing.

"Bayern are closing in on a deal to sign 17-year-old Nestory Irankunda, here we go," Romano revealed in an exclusive.

The Italian transfer expert also stressed that Irankunda will join Bayern in 2024, should the deal be signed between the parties.

Irankunda has spent his recorded football journey at Adelaide United, where he has featured for both the U21 and senior teams.

Nestory Irankunda East African Born.

Irankunda was born on February 9, 2006, in Kigoma, Tanzania, to Burundian parents, a rideshare father, Gideon Irankunda and a mother, Dafroza.

The youngster's parents were forced to flee Burundi to Tanzania after her older sister fell ill, coupled with the escalating civil war.

Born in a Refugee Camp

In Tanzania, the family was forced to a refugee camp where Irankunda was born.

At just three months, Irankunda and his family moved to Perth in Western Australia and later to Adelaide in North Australia, where he grew up and found his love for football.
