Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) First Vice President, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, was hurt in an armed robbery at his home in Abuja's Gwarinpa Estate.
In Nigerian football, Chief Anyansi-Agwu is a highly respected individual who guided Enyimba International FC to back-to-back CAF Champions League victories in 2003 and 2004.
The triumphs won him the 2003 and 2004 CAF Awards' African Football Manager of the Year titles.
The NFF Vice President was part of the team that recently appointed Eric Chelle as the new Super Eagles head coach.

There seem to be trouble following the announcement of Eric Chelle as the new Super Eagles coach on Tuesday.
Felix attacked by robbers
At an undisclosed location in the Federal Capital Territory, the football official was attacked in his home and required medical attention.
According to reports, the thieves broke into the house of the former chairman of Enyimba FC, looted the property, injured Chief Anyansi-Agwu, and then took off with one of his cars, cell phones, cash, and other valuables valued at millions of naira.
NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau paid a visit to Chief Anyansi-Agwu's Abuja home on Wednesday morning to offer his condolences and prayers in response to the sad tragedy.
Alhaji Gusau prayed for Chief Anyansi-Agwu's quick recovery and the welfare of his family during the visit, expressing relief that no one was killed in the attack.
According to NFF.com, he said, “The NFF President has been to the house of Chief Anyansi-Agwu. I will also be going to his house shortly to empathise with him and his family.
“This is an unwholesome incident, and the Executive Committee, Management, and Staff of NFF feel the stress of the Anyansi-Agwu family at this period.”
Investigations into the incident are still underway, and as of this writing, authorities have not yet captured the culprits.
