London club Chelsea is having fun in pre-season under new manager Mauricio Pochettino, with several summer signings Nick Jackson at the heart of it all.

Chelsea fans have found a new hero in their summer signing Nicolas Jackson following his brilliant performances since he arrived at Stamford Bridge. 

Jackson shone the brightest as the Blues and Brighton and Hove Albion delivered a seven-goal thriller in a preseason battle in the US.

Chelsea came from a goal down to beat 10-man Brighton 4-3 in an entertaining friendly match on Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old forward has featured in two of Chelsea’s preseason matches so far this summer.

He started the game against Wrexham and assisted the opener as the Blues thrashed the League two side 5-0 in their first game under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. 

In his second game for the club, the former Villarreal man came off the bench to steal the show against the Seagulls.

Goals from another summer arrival, Christopher Nkunku and Mykhaylo Mudryk saw the Blues cancel Danny Welbeck’s opener to lead 2-1, with Jackson’s impact an immediate one as he assisted Mudryk for the second goal.

Eight minutes Jackson picked up another assist when he set up Conor Gallager to double Chelsea’s lead.

He netted a fourth four minutes later to give Chelsea a 4-2 lead before a late fightback from Brighton who pulled back two of the goals.

A man of the match award after his two assists and a goal have got Chelsea fans talking. 

The Blues are proud and happy with their latest hero who has been described as a Vinicius Junior lookalike.

“Better things no dey hide, the boy just made a strong statement, Chelsea will score goals, they only need a good defensive line,” said another fan identified as Sunshine. 

“I'm glad that those that don't want to play made room for young stars who are eager to deliver,” another impressed Chelsea fan said. 

Some fans called for caution, so, it was not all praise, as they noted it was pre-season.

“It's just pre season and with not known clubs

If they want us to take them serious they should try a club like Lyon or Atalanta,”Sewedoh added. 

“I keep saying it, EPL can never be judged with Pre Season matches. Someday in EPL match(Either Saturday or Sunday) Brighton will have to Brighten our day,” Desmond concludes.
