In a message on the PSG website, Payne explained the decision to move to Europe.
She said, "It's something I've always dreamed of! I became a professional player when I was a teenager, and I've grown up playing football since I was four, so to experience a moment like this is very special. I'm really grateful to be here.
"I'm a quick player and I love to get forward. I know I have a more defensive mentality, but I like to get forward and join the attack."
Payne is the younger sister of Oyedupe Payne, a key member of the Super Falcons team at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
