Ahead of the mouth-watering clash of African heavyweights between Nigeria and Ivory Coast in second Group A, the coach of Ivory Coast, Jean-Louis Gasset, has disclosed that Nigeria have more talents in their team.

The Elephants triumphed to a 2-0 victory in their opening match against Guinea-Bissau on Saturday, while the Super Eagles came from behind to salvage a point in their 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea.

Coach Jean-Louis Gasset might also have the luxury of having Sébastien Haller back from injury as well as the young Simon Adingra, who were both unavailable for the first match.

He said, "We did not play perfectly, but we got the win. It is true that, on paper, Nigeria has more talents in the team. They have a wide array of players at their disposal. For us, we have a team that can compete. We are trying to work hard and will take the game to Nigeria.

"Every game has a different story. We saw that all of the favorites since the onset of the tournament have struggled. Each game has its own story. The time of the match has an impact. Playing by 5 p.m. might require several precautions. Nigeria can attest to that. Teams need to take their chances. If you don't do that, you can get upset."

The last meeting between the two sides was on 11 January 2015 in a friendly match that was won by the Elephants.
