Nigeria will host Libya in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in October, but the NFF is yet to announce any coach for the assignment.
Ahead of Nigeria's double header against Libya, former Super Eagles forward Anthony Ujah has expressed his support for Augustine Eguavoen to continue leading the Nigerian national team.
Eguavoen took charge of the team on an interim basis for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers after the resignation of Finidi George as the coach.

Whereas, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced Bruno Labbadia as the coach but the deal did not materialised due to German tax regulations.
Ujah, believes that Eguavoen is the right man for the job while the NFF is still searching for a foreign expatriate to take over the Super Eagles.
"The team is in a transitional phase, moving from coach José Peseiro to finding a new coach. Eguavoen as the interim manager is one thing I'm really happy about," Ujah told Brila FM.
Ujah praised Eguavoen's leadership qualities and the respect he commands from the players. He also highlighted the importance of a harmonious relationship between players and coaches, referencing the recent conflict between Victor Osimhen and Finidi George.

'They are shaking' - Victor Osimhen's photo with Galatasaray teammates makes fans go crazy ahead European debut
Victor Osimhen was spotted training ahead of a potential European debut with Galatasaray against PAOK.
Ujah suggested that such issues would be less likely to occur under Eguavoen's leadership.
“One thing in football is that if players don’t respect the coach, it becomes difficult. Unfortunately for Finidi, that’s what happened.
“Whatever happened between him and Osimhen wouldn’t have happened with Eguavoen because they all respect him,”Ujah added.
Nigeria will host Libya on Matchday three of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, on Friday, 11th October with the return leg scheduled for Tuesday, 15th October.
