Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and his Pillars teammates will be visitors to Nigerian champions Rangers in the Football League.

The Nigeria Premier Football League is set for a thrilling encounter as reigning champions Enugu Rangers prepare to host Ahmed Musa-led Kano Pillars at the iconic Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, popularly known as "The Cathedral."

The match, scheduled for later today, has garnered significant attention due to the return of Super Eagles captain and Pillars' star player, Musa.

Clash of the Former Champions

This week seven fixture brings together two of Nigeria's most storied clubs, both looking to bounce back from recent setbacks.

Rangers, the current NPFL champions, are smarting from a 1-0 defeat to Sunshine Stars in Akure last weekend.

The Super Eagles captain made an immediate impact on his debut for Pillars, netting twice.

All eyes will be on the veteran forward as he aims to replicate that performance and guide Pillars to their first away victory of the season.

The match presents an intriguing contrast in home and away forms for both clubs.

Rangers have been formidable at the Cathedral, collecting seven points from a possible nine in their home fixtures.

Rangers are unbeaten at home.

Pillars have struggled on the road, managing just one point from three away matches this season.

Rangers' Rallying Call

Anticipating a thrilling encounter, Rangers have taken to social media to drum up support.

"Watch our superstars light up the field today! Don't miss the action at the Cathedral," the club posted on X (formerly Twitter), setting the stage for what promises to be an electrifying atmosphere.

As the Cathedral prepares to come alive with passionate fans, both teams will be eager to secure a crucial victory.

For Rangers, it's about maintaining their stronghold at home and keeping pace at the top of the table.

For Pillars and Musa, who promised more goals for the fans, it's an opportunity to prove their mettle away from home and climb up the NPFL standings.
