Several platforms have called on authorities to deport Nigerian workers in Libya after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board recently ruled against the Libya Football Federation (LFF).
A few weeks ago, the Super Eagles of Nigeria travelled to Libya for the return leg of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
However, they were faced with several difficulties and unkind acts from the Libyan FA, who kept them without food and drinks for more than 15 hours, leading to the team abandoning the match.
The incident led to several investigations by the CAF Disciplinary Board and were later sanctioned by the governing body.

The Super Eagles were given a 3-0 forfeit victory and the LFF was fined USD 50,000 by the CAF Disciplinary Board for the Super Eagles' extended detention at Al Abraq Airport.
Nigeria's AFCON 2025 qualifying match was postponed due to an incident in which CAF blamed the LFF for not fulfilling their logistical and security responsibilities, handing the Super Eagles three crucial points in their qualifying campaign.
Libya News Today 1, via Soccernet, posted an appeal on Sunday for the government to detain Nigerian employees without proper documentation in response to the verdict.
Nigerians working in Libya without residency permits were asked to pay $500 in fines and taxes in the widely publicised ad.
The site made the case that taxes on Nigerians residing in Libya should be used to offset the fine levied on the country.
Libya INF.TV, another Libyan media outlet, had similar views, calling for the arrest of undocumented Nigerian workers and claiming that fines ought to be deducted from their pay.
Nigeria's AFCON 2025 qualifying has been greatly aided by the CAF verdict, as they now have 10 points overall and are four points ahead of Benin Republic in Group A.
