With two rounds of matches to play, Nigeria and Ghana still have work to do as seven countries booked their spots at the AFCON2025 in Morocco.

As the fourth round of the CAF AFCON 2025 qualifiers concluded on Tuesday night, seven nations have successfully booked their places in next year's continental showpiece in Morocco.

However, notable absentees from this list are African football powerhouses Nigeria and Ghana, who still have work to do in the remaining two rounds of matches.

AFCON2025 Qualified Nations

The following countries have secured their spots in the AFCON 2025, joining hosts Morocco:

DR Congo will be in Morocco for the AFCON 2025.

Nigeria and Ghana Missing

The absence of Nigeria's Super Eagles and Ghana's Black Stars from the list of early qualifiers has raised eyebrows in the African football community.

Both teams, traditionally considered continental heavyweights, find themselves in interesting positions with two rounds of matches remaining.

While Nigeria sits top of Group A after their round four clash against Libya was suspended following a bizarre hostage situation on Monday, Ghana’s Black Stars are in danger of missing out entirely.

The struggles of the four-time champions escalated after a shock defeat to Sudan, leading to reactions among football fans, who are shocked by the fact Ghana has only managed two points from four matches so far.

Nigeria and Ghana, who need a miracle, will be looking to secure their spots in the coming fixtures, while other nations will aim to join the seven who have already qualified.

The AFCON 2025, set to be hosted by Morocco, promises to be another exciting tournament after the last edition hosted and won by Cote d’Ivoire.
