Super Eagles of Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong is talking big ahead of the team's must-win clash against Zimbabwe in Uyo.

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is feeling confident about his team's chances ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

Eric Chelle's men host the Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday evening, and Troost-Ekong is bullish about their prospects.

The Super Eagles are riding high after a 2-0 win over Rwanda in their last outing, a game in which Chelle adopted different tactics.

Troost believes the players are intelligent enough to adapt to different tactics.

"We've got a lot of intelligent players who play at a high level," he said at a pre-match press conference on Monday.

"They're used to changing tactics, so it's not like we need to spell out how to play football.

"The coach said before that we have a lot of quality in the team. And we saw that in the last game."

Nigeria are 4th on the qualifying log with 6 points and will be looking to add maximum points against Zimbabwe.
