What happened
The Real Madrid star recently nursed an injury that caused him to miss one game for Los Blancos; however, he was able to return to the action for a substitute appearance in the 1-0 defeat to Lille in the Champions League.
Didier Deschamps named his squad for the coming international break after that game and omitted his captain, Kylian Mbappe, a decision that annoyed the national team's supporters group. They released a statement, saying, “Not normal, as a captain.”

What Diallo said
“There is nothing above the France national team and the national set-ups,” Diallo said in an interview with France Info.
“Didier spoke with Mbappé directly and with the medical staff at Real Madrid and chose not to select him but it doesn’t call into question Kylian’s attachment to the national team.
“The question that is being asked today is, with a hectic calendar with multiple competitions, players are in a rhythm where they’re playing 65 matches per year.
“We are arriving at a kind of ceiling where it becomes necessary for clubs, national teams, and authorities to sit around a table, notably with the objective of preserving national teams and finding a balance.”
