FOOTBALL Nathan Asiimwe: Ugandan youngster helps Charlton to FA Cup draw
Should Charlton make the Round of 64, Asiimwe will be in the same fray with several Premier League teams who join the competition at this stage.
"Vipers is a competitive club, and for a club of this level, there must be competition," he said in a frank assertion.
"This is what I want you to accept, gentlemen; that there has to be competition, and there's nobody with a permanent place," Mulindwa added.
The team is stacked with quality in all departments, and various players are bound to suffer from insufficient playing time.
"I want to make it very clear, get it from your president; there is nobody with a permanent place; you (have to) compete for those places," he reiterated.
"Otherwise, we're not stupid to spend money on 40 people (players) when we knew 20 would do the work."
"But, we know whoever has been accepted can make a contribution to the performance of the team. Don't sleep and assume you own a place; nobody owns a number," Mulindwa re-asserted.
