Mbappe's injury bothers Ancelotti

Ancelotti expressed concern over the severity of the injury, stating, it was bothering.

"Mbappé has suffered an overload, an ischial (lower pelvis) discomfort. It doesn't seem serious, but we'll see tomorrow after the exams. He couldn't sprint, it was bothering him a bit and we decided to make the substitution," he said.

Mbappe's injury is a big blow to Real Madrid's Champions League campaign as the French forward's absence could impact the team's performance.

Despite the injury setback, Real Madrid were worthy winners courtesy of goals from Mbappe, Vinícius Junior, and Bellingham. Thibaut Courtois was also impressive, making several key saves to preserve the lead.

Ancelotti stated that the team endured hardships buthe was pleased with the results.

"It's a very important victory, not everyone wins here. We suffered and fought hard, there is no Champions League without suffering. They were pushing, but we started well in the second half. We are very happy. It was a win that is very good for us, not just for the points, but to build confidence," Ancelotti said.

Real Madrid now face a challenging task to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League. They will need to win their remaining two group-stage matches against RB Leipzig and Celtic to secure a place in the top eight.
