Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has shared his thoughts on Kevin De Bruyne's expiring contract at the Etihad.
Pep Guardiola has distanced himself from Kevin De Bruyne's contract situation, insisting it's up to the club to decide on the Belgian's future.
De Bruyne's current deal expires in June, and with injury concerns affecting his performances over the last two seasons, there's a possibility that this could be his last season with the champions.
When asked about his star midfielder's contract, Guardiola said:
"It's up to the club. It's not my business... It's about how he's going to perform until the end of the season, the age that he has, and many things.
"I think the club has to think about it."
With De Bruyne free to speak with other clubs this month, Guardiola's comments suggest that the club will take a cautious approach to negotiations.
