AFC Leopards have a daunting task against FKF Premier League leaders Posta Rangers who will hope to profit from their injuries and bad form to collect maximum points at Ulinzi Complex
AFC Leopards will have nowhere to hide as they host Football Kenya Federation Premier League leaders Posta Rangers at Ulinzi Complex on Saturday.
Leopards have won just one match in what has been a poor start to their season with five defeats and four draws which have left them 15th on the log on eight points, just one ahead of bottom-placed Sofapaka.
It is a worrying sight for Ingwe fans who had hoped for an improved performance following last season’s seventh-place finish but things appear to be getting worse instead.

FOOTBALL Omala among Gor Mahia trio called up to the Harambee Stars squad
Firat has named Benson Omala as one of three Gor Mahia players in his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Gabon and Seychelles.
A 3-2 defeat in the hands of Nairobi City Stars last weekend when they conceded three goals in 64 minutes was too much to bear for their supporters who camped at the dressing room entrance seeking answers from their players before they engaged police in running battles after chaos ensued.
They would therefore be hoping for some respite on Saturday but it does not get even better as they face a formidable Posta Rangers side that have become the unlikely early pacesetters this season.
John Kamau’s men enjoy a one-point lead over Gor Mahia and Murang’a Seal, having amassed 21 points from their opening 10 games, and would fancy their chances against a frail and out-of-confident Leopards.

Posta Rangers have everything that Ingwe would wish to have. They have no problem scoring as they have managed 14 so far, the second-best in the league, while their water-tight defense has let in just five, only bettered by Gor Mahia’s four.
By contrast, the Leopards have scored just six goals, only Muhoroni (four goals scored) have worse, while they have conceded 10, which is better than five other teams.
Out of the six goals, only three have come from open play which means it will be hard to find the target against Posta Rangers but they must do it if they have to save their season.

Kakamega Homeboyz showed no mercy to visiting Sofapaka as they hammered them 5-0 to move to fourth place on the table as their opponents continue wallowing at the bottom
To make matters worse, Tomas Trucha will have to do it without five players who are sidelined by injury, led by captain Washington Munene with midfielder Cliff Nyakeya, goalkeeper Levis Opiyo and his understudy Abubakar Masha as well as Lewis Bandi also out of the match.
This might prove too costly for Leopards with Posta Rangers smelling an opportunity to return to winning ways following back-to-back draws.
Leopards have bossed this fixture in the recent past, winning four of their last six meetings, drawing one and losing another, but Posta Rangers will draw inspiration from their opponents’ struggles this season.
