An own goal from the home side saw Heartland, who deployed delay tactics all through to the encounter go in front with 15 minutes to play.
Sporting Lagos fightback
The Tech reacted to the shock of going behind as they piled on the visitors in search of the equaliser.
Their gallant effort finally paid off in the seventh minute of added time when top scorer, Jonathan Alukwu, guilty of missing two big chances earlier, fired the late equaliser to ensure the spoils were shared.
