The Nigeria Premier Football League title race has taken a dramatic turn after seven-time champions Enugu Rangers fell to a thrilling 4-3 defeat against Katsina United on Matchday 29.
Enugu Rangers suffered a surprise 4-3 defeat away to Katsina United, relinquishing their hold on top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table.
A Goal-Fest in Katsina
Football lovers were treated to a goal-fest at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina. The match saw all four goals scored in the opening 20 minutes.
Katsina raced into an early lead through Azeez Falolu in the 4th minute, but Godwin Obaje equalized for Rangers just six minutes later.
Michael Ibe restored the lead for the home side in the 16th minute, only for Saviour Godwin to level again two minutes later.

Ibe completed his brace on the stroke of halftime, and Andrew Idoko extended Katsina's lead further after the break.
Joel Odoh pulled one back for Rangers in the 81st minute, but it wasn't enough to salvage a point.

Meanwhile, in Lafia, Danbani Alao's solitary goal in the 58th minute secured a 1-0 victory for Lobi Stars against Enyimba.
