She led the Unilag Angels to the National title as the best female football side in Nigerian Universities after scoring multiple goals off the run of play and particularly from free kicks to finish as the competition’s top scorer with 10 goals as well as the Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Ten students from Iganmode Grammar School in Ota, a community in Ogun State, have been given scholarships by the 2022 Nigeria University Games (NUGA) highest goalscorer, Olasubomi Ogundele, a female student-athlete at the University of Lagos.
She organized a seminar for the children on the subject of fusing education and sport during her visit to the school, as well as a novelty match between her grass-roots club, the Alimosho Sports Club, and the school team.
Olasubomi scored ten goals at the last 2022 NUGA games hosted by the University of Lagos.
She said that her vision has been to help other young budding athletes build self-esteem and confidence in pursuing their dreams.

"You play football does not mean you are not responsible. Have that determination and discipline, let society know that you have a lot of things to offer," She said.
She explained that her Initiative offers scholarships to 10 students and will cover the payments of a full session bill for 5 junior Secondary school students and five Senior secondary school students.
On his part, the co-founder of Alimosho football club, Teslim Sanni-Anibire, advised the students to stay focused on their academics and pursuit of becoming footballers.
"There is nothing that teaches teamwork like sports. Sports teach integrity and courage, which is the ability to face one's fear," he said.

Olasubomi announced herself in female football in Nigeria, particularly after the 26th edition of the Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) held at the University of Lagos, and was part of the team that traveled for the Neymar Jr 5-Aside finals in Qatar.
