The Super Falcons Stars made the call during NWFL FIFA Women's World Cup watch Party organised by the Nigeria's Women's Football League in collaboration with LALIGA in Lagos.
Before the appointment, Okala was the head coach of the Benue Championship team, the Honey Badgers.
Before joining the Honey Badgers, Okala was a Confluence Queens Football Club assistant coach during Whyte Ogbonda's initial tenure with the squad.
The chairman of the club, Abdulmalik Isah, has tasked the new coach with ensuring the team maintains its status in the Nigeria Women Premier League and also brings laurel to the state.
He said, "I want to first congratulate you on your appointment, I hope you're fully prepared for the task ahead. You're stepping into a big shoe left behind by our former coach, Whyte Ogbonda. He is a good coach, and we wish him well with his new team.
"I employ you to be a good ambassador of the state and make us proud." We promise to give you all the necessary support from the management angle, and we wish you all the best."
